February Volunteer of the Month

We are happy to name Kayla Hacker as the volunteer of the month for February 2014.

Kayla officially started volunteering 1 year ago after school. However, she has also volunteered on and off with her step mom, Karen Hacker, who works here at West View. When Kayla decided she wanted to volunteer more of her time, WVHL just made sense. She enjoys being around the residents, she states they make her laugh and she feels at home here. Kayla helps out with various activity groups. She is currently leading groups on Easton in the afternoon. She has also helped out with gardening, 1:1 visits, trivia groups, Wii, and special events.

Kayla is a sophomore at Wooster High School. She enjoys spending time with her cousins, 4-wheelings, music, reading, and helping out where needed. In the future she hopes to do something with animals (veterinarian) or something in criminal justice.

Kayla is very dedicated to her volunteer duties. Even though she lives right across the street, on the coldest days this winter she would make the hike up the hill to come spend time with the residents! She is one dedicated girl!

Thanks Kayla for all that you do! We appreciate you!
