Visitation Policy

Dearest Family Members,

We know many of you are concerned about the spread of COVID-19 (the new corona virus) and how it may impact your loved one at West View Healthy Living.  We want to assure you that our priority is to ensure that every resident is cared for in a safe and healthy environment.  Currently, we do not have any cases on our campus.

Governor DeWine and The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have recommended a variety of steps that we are implementing to help reduce the potential for the virus to enter our building.  However, we need your help in battling COVID-19.

  • Effective 03/13/2020, we will implement a no visitor policy until further notice.  The only exceptions will be single immediate family members with prior approval from our Administrator or Director of Nursing for medication delivery, an unforeseen EMERGENCY, or those family members visiting for end-of-life situations.
  • The visitor will be screened and required to provide a federal or state identification
  • We will create a log as to ensure that we are following the order
  • As an added precaution, we are also screening all staff prior to each shift

We truly feel that limiting all visitors to our facility is the best way to reduce our exposure to this virus.  We are posting signs on our entryway doors to notify visitors of this policy and actively screening individuals, including staff, who need to come into the building.

We understand that communicating with your loved one is important to everyone.  By no means do we want to make this difficult for anyone so we are prepared to offer alternative methods of communication that you may consider.  These may include telephone, email, text, video chat or social media.  Please contact our Life Enrichment Staff if you would like to discuss one the options.

We are also asking that we have the most current emergency contact information for each resident.  We want to make sure that we efficiently communicate with you should there be any new developments.  Please reach out to Social Services at 330-264-8777 with your updated contact information.

We are also staying up to date with the CDC recommendations as they may continue to change.  In addition, West View Healthy Living is in close contact with the local and state health department and following their guidance.

Should you have any questions please feel free to contact us at 330-264-8640.

Sincerely,

Bonnie Hall, LNHA
