West View Auxiliary Annual Meeting

The West View Healthy Living Auxiliary held their annual meeting on May 10 in the Chapel at West View. The Auxiliary began in 1964 to support the needs of West View by providing services that enhance the quality of life of the residents and aid the staff in the performance of their duties through financial assistance and volunteer activities in a manner consistent with the Christian gospel. The Auxiliary fulfills various volunteer roles at West View including the management and running of the Gift Shop. They volunteered 1,639 hours in the last year.

WOOSTER -- Sharon Pooler has 10 dogs, all co-existing peaceably in her home.

Some are rescues, some are shelter dogs. A few, she said, are hand-me-downs. And on any given day, a few of them will jump in the car with her and head to West View Healthy Living in Wooster, where they will be greeted by both staff and residents alike.

They will make that trip five or six days a week every week. "It can be for an hour," Pooler said. "It can be for 12 hours."

Volunteer Shares Her Talent

West View Heatlhy Living Volunteer, Edna Wade shared her Black Light Ministry with our Residents this past week in our Chapel. She did a beautiful drawing to music with a story about God's Peace. We are so thankful for our volunteers and are so greatful that Edna shared her talent with us!
